In today’s fact we learn about Female Pirates! Mr. Toes teaches us about the butt kicking female pirates in history.
The Fact a Day:
Did you know that…Pirates are not only men! There are some terrifying female pirates from all over the world. The most well known ones are Anne Bonny and Mary Read. Both were members of Calico Jack’s crew.
Then there is Madame Cheng, who commanded hundreds of ships in the South China sea. There are also Lady Mary Killigrew and Lady Elizabeth Killigrew, where the pirate blood seems to run in the family.
